Objects found in second-hand shops, yard sales and dumpsters are given new life and context—re | context—in my found-object assemblages. Each work begins with a single object: typically an empty drawer or box, an old board or panel, or a visually interesting three-dimensional object or piece of old furniture. From there, the pathway to a finished work is often unpredictable and surprising, with many fits and starts until a measure of balance, tension, intrigue, or whimsy is achieved.
